Sheep Town Theatre Company is delighted to announce that as of January 2007 we will be the new resident theatre company at Skipton’s Mart Theatre. This will involve five shows during 2007 and regular workshops for both adults and children.

Tom was born and in Skipton, North Yorkshire is a founder member of Sheep Town Theatre Company. He attended Aireville School and subsequently studied Music and Drama at Harrogate College of Arts. After several years working a number of different jobs Tom was accepted at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester.
After four years Tom graduated in 2004 with A First Class BA Honours Degree in Acting Studies. Since graduating Tom has played regular character, Weatherfield Gazette reporter, Phil Maguire in Coronation Street. He played Xavier in The Hanged Man at the 2005 24:7 Theatre Festival and was nominated for a Manchester Evening News Theatre Award for this production and wrote and appeared in The Diversification of Veg Boy at the 2006 festival.
Other notable work includes Captain Duck in Theatre North’s You’ll Get Used To It!, Benny Hill in a BBC short film, an episode of The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard for the BBC appearing opposite Jane Horrocks, A number of adverts for Irish telecom company Eircom. Tom spent several weeks shooting in the Swiss Alps at 12,000 feet for hit U.S. show I Shouldn’t be Alive. Tom played the lead, Anthony, in the season two feature length opener. Channel 4 broadcasted series two in June under the name Alive, Frozen at 20,000 feet. Tom also featured recent on ITV’s Manhunt. He filmed two episodes playing a vicious Manchester gunrunner.
Tom has just returned from two months touring in America with Nevada Shakespeare Company. He played Capulet in their award winning reworking of Romeo and Juliet. Tom also works as a stand-up comedian as one half of Atack and Aldersley who have their own comedy night Alternative Cabaret. (www.alternativecabaret.co.uk)
Tom is also a qualified teacher with a PGCE in English and Drama and teaches acting, improvisation and script writing. Tom recently won a bursary to study for a Masters degree in Writing for Performance at Huddersfield University.
